Beta-Carotene Complex is a dietary supplement containing beta-carotene of natural origin, formed during the biofermentation process of Blakeslea trispora. It is a substance classified as a carotenoid. Beta-carotene is a precursor of vitamin A and is responsible in the body for its production. For this reason, beta-carotene is often referred to as Provitamin A. The entire process takes place in the intestines and in the liver through the action of specialised molecules. Vitamin A helps to maintain healthy skin, maintain normal vision and helps the immune system to function properly. Vitamin E helps to protect cells from oxidative stress.
